Khun Danny has extensive knowledge in sales and marketing, and his role prior to joining the Santhiya Team involved successfully directing the National Leisure Department within Hilton's National Sales Office. Santhiya Resort and Spa has since benefitted greatly from his strong leadership qualities and he has proven to be a great asset since joining the company 8 months ago. This can be seen from escalating occupancy rates and an improvement in the overall efficiency of the resort. The promotion of Khun Danny to becoming Deputy Managing Director will inevitably further the progress and growth of the resort into one of the finest, most exclusive five star hotels in Thailand.
Santhiya's team is set to benefit further with the appointment of Mr. Chakrapong Paladsongkram. The new General Manager has over 25 years of managerial experience in five different countries, stretching over 3 continents. His experience includes managing two Koh Samui resorts featured in ‘Small leading hotels of the world'- the exclusive Santiburi Resort (RM), and Bophut Resort (RM). Khun Chakrapong also held an EAM position at the Dusit Thani hotel in Bangkok and second in command position at the prestigious Santiburi Dusit Resort, Koh Samui and the Dusit Dubai Hotel in UAE. An entrepreneur and a skilled coach, Khun Chakrapong is able to get the best out of his team through means of visionary leadership and support. With the resort's already world renowned accreditation for service and hospitality, Khun Chakrapong should take the resort to new heights.

July 2009 - On the quiet north-eastern tip of Koh Pha-ngan, set within lush tropical gardens overlooking a sandy bay, lies Santhiya, a unique hideaway which celebrates its third birthday on 29 June. July 2009 - On Monday 20 July 2009, 53 stunning and talented young women from across the country gathered at the London Hilton Metropole, all hoping to be crowned ‘Miss England 2009'. The winner was Rachel Christie, an aspiring athlete and 2012 Olympics hopeful. In addition to the prestigious title and opportunity to represent England at the Miss World contest, Rachel, niece of Linford Christie, also won a luxury holiday for two to Thailand courtesy of independent tour operator Jetlife and Santhiya Resort & Spa, on Koh Pha-ngan, Thailand.
Rachel and her guest will jet off to Thailand in September with Jetlife to enjoy a fabulous 10-night holiday at Santhiya Resort & Spa, staying in a luxury villa with beautiful sea views.
