HAADRIN BEACH NYE COUNTDOWN
Come and see in the New Year at the worlds biggest beach party. Join in the countdown and witness the spectacular fireworks at midnight. With so many different sound stages on the beach, you are sure to truly have the best NYE ever!!! Join 50,000 party revellers on the world famous Full Moon beach and party past sunrise.
Make sure you book your resort accommodation early, many are already fully booked. If you are staying outside of Haadrin, don’t leave it till 11pm to make your way to the party as you will most likely miss the fireworks. The Haadrin Hills get jammed with traffic, and every year so many people abandon their vehicles or leave the taxis and end up trying to walk the rest of the way. Most don’t make the Countdown!
We urge you not to drive your scooter on this night. Even if you stay sober, there are so many who are drunk, and accidents are just waiting to happen. DO take a taxi and plan to leave early, so you have time to soak up the electric atmosphere of not just the beach but in the small town as well. And please remember that whilst you are here for the party, hundreds of locals are working to make sure you have a great night. They will be dealing with drunk revellers all night, so always be courteous to the bar tenders and the shop staff, a smile and politeness can still go a long way here!!
Of course it’s all go through December in Haadrin as we hold 3 Full Moon parties. So as well as our huge NYE Extravaganza on the 31st, there is the usual Full Moon proper which takes place this year on Saturday Dec 10th and our Christmas Night party on Dec 25th. As you may be aware, recently we introduced a 100baht beach entry charge which pays for a full beach clean the day after the Full Moon party. We have and will continue to look at ways to keep our beach in the best possible condition, and we are really happy to say that already the improvements are nothing short of massive. So on Dec 26th, we ask you to get involved and help clean the beach. It is actually a lot of fun, you get to meet more people, including the locals, and the job satisfaction is amazingly brilliant Karma. It’s an important day in our calendar and gets everything spick and span in the lead up to the biggest beach party in the world on Dec 31st. Don’t forget about the annual volleyball and soccer competitions which take place in the days leading up to the 31st. Heats take place on Dec 27th, 28th and 29th with the finals on the 30th. After the prize giving ceremony on the 30th, we start the Miss Haadrin beauty competition- there are big money prizes up for grabs for all the events, which happen around Tommy Resort, so if you are travelling in a group, get your team together, or if you came alone, just hook up with your new best friends that you met here on Phangan!! Girls, bring your sexiest swimwear to the beach, you never know, it Could be YOU that becomes Miss Haadrin 2011!!
