The Full Moon Beach Soccer Cup has been organising tournaments on Haad Rin Beach opposite Tommy Resort now for 5 years and it has gained an enormous following; with numerous local and guest teams competing in front of big crowds over the four day duration of each monthly tournament. Each team consists of a minimum of 6 and up to 11 players, with 5 on the pitch and the remainder in reserve. Everyone is welcome to enter the event, which finishes before the Full Moon Party kicks off; and with time to sign in from 12pm, games starting at 2pm and finishing at sunset; it’s got a hangover friendly format!
One of the reasons for the Cup’s great popularity is that if you don’t have a team, they will help organise one for individual players or smaller groups. All interested parties should contact Mr Heinz during the first three days of the tournament. It’s also a fully international affair and a great spectator event for those who prefer the terraces; with high quality goods and gifts from the sponsors and cash prizes for winners!
