HARMONY BEACH RESORT
Harmony Beach Resort is located on Ao Hin Lor in a secluded white sand cove on the tranquil sunset coast of the Had Rin Peninsula. The resort has an incredible backdrop of huge granite formations that create protective arms around the beach, providing shade to the swimming pool and beach bar and forming striking features that blend into the resort's architecture. Nature is everywhere and although Harmony Beach is less than two kilometres from Had Rin Nai, home of the Full Moon Party, it seems a million miles away once you settle into the serene surroundings and chill out on the 160-metre stretch of private beach.
Ao Hin Lor literally translated means "Bay of Rocks that Entice" and this distinctive piece of Koh Phangan's coastline is dominated by huge boulders that thrust out of the sea and the surrounding hills. The beaches take on a fairy tale appeal with idyllic sheltered coves surrounded by granite rocks and long stretches of uninhabited sandy shoreline lined with lush green tropical flora. Ao Hin Lor runs into Ao Bangson and forms an unbroken 2km stretch of white sand beach, perfect for secluded sunbathing or a sunset stroll into Had Rin. There are a few beach bars dotted along the coastline and very little else, so the noise from the party capital will never interrupt your stay.
Harmony Beach Resort has a total of 17 bungalows that all command wonderful sunset sea views and are spaciously situated amongst lush tropical gardens. Fourteen of the rooms are built in a Thai / Mediterranean style and are located on the beachfront, three more traditional wooden bungalows are nestled in the hillside just above the swimming pool; all coming with fan and ensuite bathroom as standard. The resort opened in in March 2003 and the bungalows and buildings have been refurbished and fitted with the emphasis on quality, comfort and style. The bed linen are made of the finest cotton and the bungalows have been decorated tastefully. All the rooms have en-suite bathroom.
The stunning and unique restaurant on Harmony Beach is a natural wonder of giant granite boulders that form high walls around a generous seating area, roofed with tropical palm leaves. It creates an impressive and energetic natural environment, great for enjoying the resort's extensive and delicious choice of traditional Thai and Western cuisine, thoughtfully prepared by the experienced team of Chefs. The pool bar is open all day for a refreshing juice or mouth-watering cocktail and plays the best chill out sounds, perfect for sunset barbeques and cool pool parties.
Harmony Beach has satellite TV for news and sports if you choose and an extensive collection of DVDs from art house to blockbuster. Our CD collection is second to none, although there is generally a no trance policy at the resort.
