As ever the New Year’s Eve (NYE) countdown will draw huge crowds of party hungry people to Haad Rin sunrise beach, such is the popularity of this event the island will be completely jam packed for more than 2 weeks over the festive period. This year the celebrations begin with the mind blowing Half Moon Festival on the 21st December, followed by the customary Xmas Full Moon Party on the 25th December, before the worlds biggest beach party on the 31st. Leading up to the main event there will also be beach football and volleyball tournaments and even a bikini contest.
